Successfully registered uszcn!

I've been keeping an eye on uszcn for quite some time. It seems that this one, among all those transshipping companies, has a relatively good fame. But it's also close to common knowledge that it has ceased to open for public registering for practically forever. You are going to need to go through all those crappy ways in getting those invitation codes to get across the door.

Last night out of the blue I decided to check on it. Guess what, there is this website kind enough to publish a bunch of codes every day, only that those codes need to go with a specialized registration entry other than the standard one. The specialized entry looks exactly the same as the standard one except that the address contains extra source verification code, I guess so that uszcn could match the verification code to where it comes from.

A slight drawback though. The lines of codes you see in the screenshot, that is actually a picture, meaning that you cannot copy and paste when you register. And this is where OCR comes into play. http://www.onlineocr.net/ is such an online tool that gets things neatly done.

So a little early than 11:30 today, I had filled all the fields in the registration page except for the invitation code. The moment that today's codes were out, I saved that picture and ran OCR on it. I'd planned to try a few codes before I could succeed, so many people out there for such a short list and stuff. But with the first code I tried, I got in! Guess OCR ran faster than typing manually after all :-)
